Are those the pampered chef bread molds? If so I was not aware they could be used for molds as they are made of metal. I would love to see
how the soap turns out.
They are. I haven't tried them yet but was told they will work. I got new ones from a consultant that had overstock for 50 cents each so I figured why not
I think they have a lip at the end though, not sure how that will work with removing the soap. :?
If they don't work, I'm a baker to so no loss (other than the one I will try the first time around).
The pampered chef molds will not work for CP as they are made out of aluminum. (Mine are anyway) I use mine with MP no problem, but I can't use them for CP.

yes the bread tubes are tinned steal. I know aluminum won't work with CP. I'm guess you could say I'm still in the excited beginner phase of all this and am willing to give pretty much anything a try even if it ends up with bad results.
For 50 cents a piece how could I go wrong!?
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16dshZ5GHZw]Here's a video[/ame] that shows the reaction, and [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i40gOQOqsSc]here's one[/ame] that shows a "bomb" made from aluminum and lye.
you could do HP soap for those molds. I have a nice mold which has aluminium in it and I use it with HP soap no problem.
My normal mold also contains aluminium and I line it with baking paper before pouring the soap but it is still showing some degradation in some areas where some of the raw soap leaked a bit.
