Loofah turned spotted brown

I just attempted my first loofah soap where I put a whole loofah in a tube and poured in the m&P, after I unfolded it the next day, I noticed brown spots on my loofah, has this happened to anyone else? I did wait probe 15-20 min after soaking it before I poured in the m&p, do you think thats why?

What did you soak it in?

I've never had that happen before. I've never soaked my loofah in anything before covering it with mp before, though.

I soaked in in water to make it expand for like 5 min and then dried it off with paper towels and then let it air dry for like 15 min. I ordered mine from Bramble Berry and it was flat

I also did my first loofah soap this weekend I got my loofah from Bramble Berry as well.

I noticed when I was soaking it that there were some brown seeds inside. Could this be what you are seeing? I shook them out and it was fine.
