I would like to start making liquid soap now that I have made several batches of cp soap. I have potassium hydroxide and other ingredients for it. I was wondering if I could use the recopies I have been using for my cp soap for the liquid soap, but instead of sodium hydroxide use potassium? I usually make 2lbs cp soap, so would it be okay to use the same measurements of Sodium and substitute that for Potassium? Also, how much of a lye discount should I do? For my cp soap I do 33%.

Kristin actually they are totally different beasts. I would recommend doing some research on how to make Liquid Soap on here because there are some very talented liquid soap makers.

Enjoy the journey...
