Hello everybody. March is maple month in NH. I'll be busy making maple syrup.
Here are some pics of my sugar shack.

Good trade-off I'd say. How many gallons do you typically make in a season?

hi, made 11.5 last year. I have 100 taps in the woods. Just a hobbyist. Thanks

Smell of maple is in the air. I'll be checking for density, instead of emulsion. Hopefully until mid April. If you live in a maple producing state. Check out your season. And visit a local sugar shack. Most are located on farms. So the kids will enjoy it even more. Can anyone say 'syrup on snow'. Yummy .

Have you ever tried to combine the two and have a maple soap?

Maple syrup does work to boost bubbles like any sugar would do. But it is a heater, so use small amounts and soap cool!

Hi, have not used it in soaps. It's sugar and should be used in small portions. (1teaspoon PPO). Maybe my next batch of beer soap. With local brewed "maple porter beer".
