Hi All,
My Daughter would like to make a lip gloss, problem is that all the recipes i can find seem to be for a Lip Balm rather than a Lip Gloss. Would anyoe have a good recipe for a nice thick gloss? She has tried a few but they all seem to be too liquid!
Thanks Trish!

If you google lipgloss you wil get some ideas, or did you make some?
I just ordered some cute tins and some flavoring, I need a recipe also! I was thinking, castor, beeswax, co?
ideaqueen.com has some recipes.

For lipgloss you are going to use significantly less beeswax then you do in a lip balm. I would start at about 10% and then you use one of those applicators that has the flocked applicator brush in it. Use mica to colour and you can flavour or not as you want.

Have fun.......

Yes, Deda made a nice lip balm for the last swap and I noticed it had castor in it. Super slick. So I would imagine use lots of castor or even castor with a bit of oil and a touch of beeswax. If any.

If the ones your daughter have made are too liquid-y then simply add a bit of beeswax to firm them up a bit.

the video link below is made by an actual make up artist its a quick and easy recipe that if nothing else works well as a guide line for what you can do :3

i hope this helps ^_^

unless I could fine cheap/good lipgloss to add, I would rather make mine all from scratch, interesting though.
