First off, hello everyone. I've been reading this forum for a while and think you're all really wonderful and super helpful.
So... maybe you can help me with a problem? I'm working on my lip balm recipe and have come up with a formula that has the texture I want, but no matter what I do, the balm doesn't really stick to the mechanism inside the lip balm tube. Meaning, if I use the screw bottom to push the balm up and then screw it down again, it gets stuck and I have to manually push the balm down.
Is this really an issue that can be solved just by increasing my ratio of wax/hard butters:soft oils?
My current recipe is:
2 tsp. candelilla wax
1 tsp. mango butter
6 tsp. jojoba/almond oil
1/2 tsp. flavor oil
1/8 tsp. vitamin E
My tubes are from MMS.
Thanks for any help!
