I want to make a new lip balm with the following (major) ingredients.. though I dont have to use ALL of them :) working with the idea of 1/3's

Sweet Almond Oil
Castor Oil
Beeswax

and if needed I have CO and PO

I dont want to use butters..but without them I dont have a HARD Oil in my recipe. I think of CO and PO as hard oils as they are solid when its cool but I read somewhere that CO is soft. This would be for tubes..

any suggestions..Should I reduce the amt of SAO a bit and sub maybe 5% caster for the SAO. Then use PO or CO as the harder oil ?

Thanks Charlotte

For quite a while I used palm oil, liquid oils, and beeswax for a great lip balm. Before that I made one that was just jojoba & beeswax which was pretty good. So you don't need "butters".

Now I use butters but also use ButterEZ to avoid the grittiness of crystallization.
