Lip Balm FOs?

Do FO's have to specifically be made for lip products (usually those are the sweetened ones, I've noticed) or can you use an FO that's merely labeled skin safe?

Skin safe fos should NOT be used on the lips. You must use flavors or fos labeled LIP safe for the lips. It is a different FDA grade.

Thanks, Tab, that's what I thought, but I had to ask anyways. I will have to look for vendors that sell a little more variety in lip safe FO's than WSP. Sure, the normal banana, strawberry, and bubblegum is great, but I was hoping to make slightly more exotic blends of lip safe fo's, as in not just fruit and candy flavors. I know, I'm asking alot, aren't I? :shock:

I have seen some really odd ones out there & there is a market for funky lip balm.

If you choose to add any color, glitter, mica, etc to them, make sure those are indicated lip safe as well.
