Just poured. I kept the dividers in and made a checkerboard pattern with the uncolored and the green, then took out the dividers, swirled randomly, and put the dividers back in. I'm embarrassed to admit that this is a WSP scent, but a friend asked for a specific scent and it was from WSP. I thought if I needed to order one, I may as well get $30 worth, and this was one of the picks. ('')

I think it looks awesome but I'm more a meat and potato fan myself. Why are you embarrassed that you ordered from WSP?

WSP's business practices are upsetting to many. Changed free shipping to include Canada but jacked the price up on most of their products to compensate and got rid of free pick up for locals.

LOVE the soap. I sooooo want one of those molds!

Yeah I do recall hearing that. It must be worth it to them if they haven't changed back. I can tell you that being from Idaho free shipping is appealing even if the company rolls it into the price as shipping from cross country is expensive. I've only ordered from them a couple times before finding suppliers cheaper and more local.

What smell is lettuce ? I didn't think lettuce actually has much smell.

I'm with Relle. I can't say I'm aware that lettuce had a scent, LoL.

I think your soap looks lovely! And I too want one of those molds :)

It (lettuce) has a faint scent, at least my home grown ones did, the store bought, not so much...kind of a watery-fresh-crisp and very very faint tinge of a grassy scent... hard to describe. No idea what the FO smells like though, but I'm interested now!

That's a pretty good description of the scent, light, airy, slightly grassy. The FO is a bit strong. I soaped at about .8 ppo but I think I would do less next time. Funny how a light scent can seem too strong but it may calm down a bit once it's drier. Didn't discolor (Yay!) but did accelerate a little (has some florals in it) but was definitely workable. I tried to pull one of the dividers this am because I have no patience, but it pulled up some soap at the edges. THat's what I get.

You can see the colors better, of course, this morning.

Ken, I'm a meat and potatoes kind of person too (picturing myself eating lasagna straight out of the pan last night) but I haven't found a good FO yet. You?

Forgot to add that I was really lucky to find the Kelsei mold on sale. It took a while to get because the man who makes them had apparently sawn his fingers off (!!!!!!) and he was working out how to make the mold with less use of his hands. Did a great job! You never know when they'll run a sale again.

You know what does bother me about WSP. Taking friday's off and telling people its to conserve.. I only wish I could run my life like that. Sorry honey, I'm not getting out of bed today, I'm conserving calories..

Don't be embarrassed, if they have what you need for a price worth paying then go for it. I use them all the time.

LOL!
your soap looks beautiful, show us when you unmold, please.

Thanks for the compliments! I have to say that I am absurdly pleased with this. It actually came out pretty much like I had seen it in my head, which hasn't happened very often lately. I do try to follow my own advise of seeing soaps from an objective viewpoint, but sometimes there's a lingering sense of let-down. I haven't gotten a soap to look like I want in.... I don't know how long.

I've heard of some of those odd-ball scents. Maybe they're popular as a novelty item or I could see guys liking it. Ken Meat-and-Potatos Buska? WHat do you think?

Your soap is lovely and you did a beautiful swirl.

Why would anyone want soap that smells like bacon or french fries?

*raises hand sheepishly* but it'd have to be totally, completely identical to sunday morning breakfast bacon. I'd wash with it every day. I looooooove bacon.

I heard about this one on the radio. Not my cup of tea but I guess someone must like it!

Seeing Amanda (agriffin) make her silicone molds out of anything, I have to wonder if this guy took a real greasy burger patty and made a mold LOL

(sorry...derailing here.... back to your regularly scheduled oooo'ing at the OP's lovely soap :) )
