Hi, I usually use Dr Oetker lemon Zest powder in my soap recipe however it seems it is no longer available.
I have found a lot of sellers of dried lemon peel but am concerned this may not work.
If I could use this would I use the same amounts as the lemon zest and would it react differently to my tried and trusted lemon zest.
Thanks for any replies and a great forum

Perhaps few have used the product you mention. I have not seen it in the US, so not sure how common it is elsewhere. I did find it on Amazon.uk, but still that doesn't tell me much. It also depends on how you are using it. Is it for exfoliation or some other purpose? Is it a very fine powder or is it rough like actual lemon zest would be when one zests a lemon with a grating tool?

If it is rough like grated lemon peel, then I would expect it would behave similarly. If it is a find powder, then dried peels would not behave the same as they are dried rough grated bits.

There are other powdered lemon peel products listed on the Amazon.uk site (link); perhaps they would be a comparable product. Or you can make your own (link).
