Curious how others pour, or pour into , their Liquid Oils if it is in a Large cumbersome jug?

The Rice bran Oil (from Lowes) is in a 3 gallon jug. Terrible to pour from that HUGE opening.

I do not have any smaller jugs to pour it out into for future easiness .

Any recommendations?
fwiw, I tried the Turkey baster to suck up and take out but that REALLY doesn't hold the oil in very well

I thought about a pump too but wondered about cleaning it.
It is shaped like the 5 gallon jugs, opening about 2.5" wide.

Oh yeah a Gal water jug would be much easier ! Why i didn't even think about that is beyond me.

So far I use these funnel cups I got a while ago. works good.
But pouring from a Gallon jug to these cups would be easier ! TY

What about pouring into a cup (even a paper cup), and from there pouring into your batch oil jug. You could then pour any extra oil back into the big RBO jug.

That is what I had done, but the jug is so big and if it slides on the table and spills..... yeah, that happened :(

Was just trying to think of a better, easier, safer way. And not make a mess
The Gal water jug had not even crossed my mind.

And see, this is why we all come here. Some times you just over think things when an easy method is right there and someone helps you find it :videovisit:

I poured into an clean oil jug for olive oil, or another cooking oil and fill it up as I need it. I tend to switch them around too if they get too beat up or after a number of uses. I make sure to label it. I do the same thing with infused oils.

:( I don't have any other jugs. My OO is not empty yet ( 3qt) and all others were bought in 'cubes' ;)

I certainly don't mind buying water though.

I cheat....since the top is sealed, I just cut two triangles into the seal thing (cardboard/foil thing). One about a half inch, maybe three quarter triangle (two slices at an angle, third side is the side of the jug) and then the same thing smaller at the other end for an air hole so it pours instead of glugs :)
