keeping glycerin clear?

Hi!

I have been trying to do embeds in clear Glycerin but it always seems to be cloudy, or have bubbles. Has anyone been successful in keeping their glycerin 'see through'? I try to pour it cool so as not to melt the embeds but still no luck and if I use plastic embeds it always seems to have tiny bubbles in the soap which makes it hard to see the embed.

What is the brand name of the base you are using? That could be making all the difference.

Are you adding fragrance to the clear - many fragrances will cloud clear or turn it amber over time.

I've hear putting a tiny shred of blue soap in with the clear makes it look clearer. Bubble issue might be because you're heating the soap up too hot to start with. Heat at a low to mid temp setting (will need to be heated a bit longer this way) & see how you go.

You might try spraying the soap with alcohol just after pouring.
