It's funny... my Dad was recently saying something about how quickly the bars I give him are gone. And when he said that both my Mom and my sister-in-law disagreed and said that they last forever.

Perhaps the bars I've given my Dad were not cured quite as long... not sure. But in general most people say they last a long time.
It's difficult for me to tell because I usually have 10 bars going at once.

I try to write down every batch details and date and what I gave to who- that way I hope to not get confused with dates...

Men are trouble!! Seriously - when it comes to soap they are a bit problematic because they tend not to use a washcloth, but rather rub the bar on their hairy bodies. Hairy bodies are like graters - soap gets used up FAST.

When I was testing my soaps, I gave some to my Aunt. She had the same comment. The samples they got were small. I was not suprised in the least. My first question to her was "Is the quality of the soap, the lather, the scent, and the moisturizing properties of the soap such that you would overlook the short bar life and purchase again?" If you put the soap out there for feedbach, then you must be ready and willing to take all responses gracefully. Ask more questions about why they said what they said. Some people are just "yes men" and say just what you want to hear. Other wikk tell you what you need to hear. Tose people are the ones I want to find. Value the comment.
