Am I in heaven or what??? Seriously, hehe 
I am a former jewelry designer, and used to hang out at this uber wonderful small indie business forum for women. I learned TONS from this forum! It was invaluable to me as a small start-up in handcrafted jewelry. After taking a 5 year hiatus, I found myself longing to create again but going in a different direction: candles and soaps!! I went running back to that old forum and found you now have to pay $12 a month to be a member! Talk about bummed.... :cry:
Being a new business start-up, I can't afford $12 a month for a forum. That's soap and candle making supplies right there, yanno? $12 or even $30 a year, maybe... but not monthly. So last night I was searching Google for another forum like the Switchboards and.... OMIGOSH!! I found it!! Right here!! I bounced with joy, let me tell ya! This site has everything I am looking for, and I CANNOT wait to meet you all and talk and jabber with ya, and learn from ya, and just have fun with ya'll! (STILL bouncing, btw! )
So, like I said, I used to create handcrafted wire and gemstone jewelry (Avalon Jewels). I had the website, and did the craft shows, yadda yadda. But now, I am SUPER excited to learn to make cold processed natural soaps and soy candles. I am reading and researching and picking brains. Hope to make my first batches this weekend!
Anyway, that's my story, hehe. It is so good to be here! Feels like home already!
