I am thinking about using the Pink Frosted Cupcake (from southern garden) for my step daughter to make her some cupcake soaps.

I'm wondering if it's possible to color it red, like red-velvet cake, or any other color. Or does the color that it turns to look like cake?

I'd like to make frosting too, and I'd like to scent it. So I guess I really want to color the frosting, even if the "cake" is tan.

Does anyone use this fragrance? Has anyone been successful coloring it?

ETA: I don't know if this is the right place or if I should have put this in the CP forum.

Hi
You can use a vanilla stabiliser. The recommend amount is to use equal to the amount of fo that you are using...deducted from your original water calculations. Be warned though that this stuff smells vile. Like migraine inducing vile. Check with your supplier for exact instructions re: measurements.
Some have success adding titanium dioxide...dependent on the base recipe. Uncoloured/unscented how white does this recipe come out?
What is the vanilla % in the fo?
If I have a fo that I know is going to discolour brown...I either go along with it..and leave some unfragranced and colour that the colour i want and make a topping, that usually works well with "foodie" type scents.
If you're talking about making whipped soap for the cupcake toppings, I haven't had an fo discolour that yet, even the ones that discolour regular cp soap. I'm sure there are some that do though.
