Is it normal to just stare at your soap and sniff it?

Quite a few non soapers do too, at least in my house lol they'll come n look n sniff, and sometimes touch even so I hid most lol

It was normal for me to do that when I was new, and even a few years into it, but now I dont' really stare/sniff them other than to see if the color has morphed or the scent faded after a cure.
I do however, still get UBER excited when unmolding and cutting to see what I have going on on the inside.
