Think I posted the below in the wrong place, duh; so reposted it here.

Good day!

I am called Lyric and I stumbled upon this site while searching Google for a particular website. I have been making CP soap since about 2000 and consider myself a semi-newbie. Back in the day I thought I was going to be the Carol's Daughter of soap, make a living at handcrafting it and love life. Bringing things up to this day . . . my bottom line is that I love making things from soap to crochet to sewing. If I could make this hobby, what I call a paid hobby to at least keep myself in suppliles I would be happy. If I could make an extra $100-$200/month to keep out of the family budget it would be even better and I could do the happy dance  !

I am newly married and we recently took possession of a couple acres that we hope to make into a small family farm. We're all about self sufficiency and living the simple life with our family and loved ones.

Namaste,

Lyric

Welcome Lyric! You sound a lot like me. While I love my computer and "silly" online games, I long for handmade things. I knit! Are you on Ravelry? If so, look me up - I am "Elenna" on there.

Congrats on your marriage!

Hello and welcome! :D

Where you originally posted was fine but generally not many people see intros on it. I try to say hello if someone posts but sometimes I miss a post. Best wishes on your recent marriage.

I sure am and I always forget to visit there. So much surfing to do; so little time. :D

Thank ya, dahlin'! We are working on 15.5 months. I've heard it said that you're newlywed for two years so I'm milking it; loving it everyday too!

Oh, okay. So glad you stopped, smellin' the roses to say "hey", Ms. Hazel. Makes us newbies feel welcome. :D Thanks for the marriage well wishes. You know the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child"? Perhaps with the village pulling more folks would stay married. Just a thought.

I hear you!! I hardly have time to visit Ravelry. I find it best for my budget to NOT visit, or I find a gazillion projects I want to start (of course I have about 8 Unfinished Objects - UFOs! - in various stages).

It's all about how you and your hubby mesh! We just passed 13 years and are still loving it. Not quite "Newlywed" but so very happy!
