:) Hi everyone,
we live in slovenia, my partner and I, where we are trying to be semi selfsufficient (as much as possible). I have never made any of this kinda stuff before and am itching to get going, Sorry if this has been posted before, but, am looking to find the basic, step by step recipes for bath bombs, salt, lotions etc.
We are on dail up and its sooooooo painfully slow and keeps disconnecting. :x
I hope to have a little market stall next year, already we eggs, honey, candles, wine and apple cider vinegar, was looking to add some more for ourselves and to sell or give as gifts etc.
All help gratefully received
Thanks :)

:) Hi Hazel,
thanks for that, I like the look of the lotion bar, It looks easy and I have most of the stuff. Its a problem here trying to get products, its only a small country and what there is is expensive.
Do you have any idea what I could store this in rather than buying something fancy?

I'm not sure. I've seen these identified as "body melts" or "massage bars" and they weren't shown in anything. The directions just say to rub on your body and the heat of your skin will melt them. Then after putting it away, I would think you'd continue rubbing in what was left to moisturize your hands.

Here's a link that shows some bars.

It looks like they used the smaller soap molds to form these. I'd say they're somewhere between 2 to 3 inches in size and about 1.5 to 2 oz in weight.

I don't know how well you'll be able to view this video.

I'd say just use small soap molds and then wrap them in plastic. Perhaps you could find small decorative bags or even sew small bags to put them in so the customer would have something to keep after the bar is used up. If you made the bag out of muslin, you could stencil your business name & info on it as advertising. Or if you're very artistic, you could do something decorative that the customer would be happy to carry around.

When I was younger, there was a fad in my school where girls would wear little muslin bags tied to their jeans. I think candy came in them. But after the candy was gone, girls would decorate these little bags with paint and beads. I don't know if this helps you any.

Maybe you could find little plastic containers with snap on lids to store them in.

I found this recipe and it sounded easy to make.

I hope this helps you.
