I love Lilac in Bloom from WSP, but everyone said how great the Lilac from Peaks is so I went ahead and bought 8 oz of it. I got very bad headaches for two days in a row that would not go away no matter what I took, but as soon as I put the Lilac soaps in a bag the headaches went away. So sad, but I actually prefer the Lilac in Bloom. Maybe I used too much. I may try one more time and use only .5 oz PPP and see if I still get the headache, but I think it's just one of those fragrances I can't use.

Fragrances are funny that way, I had to ask a lady that picks up samples from my work that her perfume was sending one of our staff into migraines (and the rest to open our doors and complain bitterly). If it makes you sick you really cant use it - Im sorry :-| Maybe trade it with someone?

I had never seen that brand, so I took a look. No where on the website does it say phthalate free. I would be willing to venture a guess that that is the culprit. I, too, get migraines from phthalate containing scents. If my guess is correct, you are going to have to be very careful when ordering fragrances. This is part of the reason I stick with EOs.

Seawolfe - I have the same problem with perfumes. We can't help it if it causes headaches and some peoples perfume is offensive!

Susie - I never thought of the phthalates. I have many fragrances and the only other one that caused this was the Lemon Verbena from Candlescience. It's not body safe, but I did not know that when I bought it. I used it in a diffuser, but had to give it away because I got a headache each time I used it. Actually, come to think of it there is a blend I made to use as an air freshener that always gives me a headache. Ugh! I guess I'm sensitive.
