I have some activated charcoal in nugget form. (for aquarium filters) I want to make some soap with black swirled into it. My problem is that I don't have a coffee grinder to grind it into powder. I only have a blender and a food processor. I'm wondering if I could try to "infuse" the charcoal nuggets into some oil. Has anyone tried that? I really doubt it would work because it's not like it turns my aquarium black!

I don't think it will work either.. Unless the charcoal get soften when in touch with oil or water (not so sure)...

We have a powerful juicer and it it also a food processor and I have used it and I have also put it in a baggie and used a rolling pin on it.

Unless it's extremely fine-ground it can be very scratchy! I'd be inclined to instead order some of the activated bamboo charcoal for cosmetics, many sellers carry it...

vitamin stores carry it in capsule form, you can try that too as it is very fine.
