Which is your preferred/ recommended method?

A. Add to water, add lye, overnight, filter (as lye solution)
B. " but not filtered
C. Add to water, overnight, filter, add lye (as lye solution)
D. " but not filtered
E. Add to water, overnight, filter, add to batter (as extra water)
F. " but not filtered
G. Add to oil, overnight, filter, add to batter (as part of oil)
H. " but not filtered

I've tried method F, H (as extra water/ oil, not filtered) several times. All batches showing DOS in 1-2 weeks...thought of asking how u guys deal with indigo powder before I give up.

Adding indigo powder to the water/lye solution is the preferred method I've heard. But I don't think it should effect DOS, are you sure there isn't anything wrong with the oils/your recipe? Or a bad supplier of indigo?

Oil is ok, no DOS in other soaps. DOS seems to start from the indigo specks in the soap. I never thought indigo would cause DOS now would it?

I gave up on Indigo powder when I could never get it to color my soap anything but a dingy gray with hints of green. I'd be interested to learn what you find out!
