It's been a challenging couple weeks for my little one; when she's done with homework we'll be making bath bombs. (at 5:15 pst) She's been begging me for days.
Does anyone have a kid friendly/pleasing recipe (=lots of bubbles) you'd be willing to share? I have only the basics; cream of tartar, baking soda, citric acid, fo's, oils, probably no witch hazel but yes to alcohol.

Yes, got it! Thanks!!

I think you need the SLSA for the bubbles, no ? That is one reason I won't be making them, it's $$$ compared to the other ingredients

I saw a recipe last week using powdered milk instead of slsa and it foamed and moved in the water and made bubbles. I dont remember where I saw i but I think you can google bath bombs without slsa

I use SLSA in my bath bombs, it doesn't take much, only 10-15 grams in a good size batch. A lb. goes quite a way. Plus since I've added SLSA the bath bombs sell way better when I tell them they make bubbles. I have a recipe but didn't see this till now. I can post it later after work if you are still looking for one. It's pretty basic with a couple additions. BS, Citric, Cream of Tartar, Kaolin Clay, SLSA and Cocoa Butter or CO and some SAO.

I would appreciate the recipe Shunt. We ended up going bike riding instead of making bb. It's going to be a couple of stressful months for her as the repairs to the house are finally starting. She'll enjoy making and using them! I have some SLSA now, btw.

There are a 1000 different versions of bath bombs out there! So confusing! Some us SLSA and some don't. Apparently some just fizz for a while, and some (with SLSA) fizz and make bubbles. I honestly don't see the appeal (for adults anyway).

Personally I don't take baths, just showers. and don't see the thrill of a fizzy that is done before you get in it :smallshrug:
I did try a few recipes with powdered buttermilk and it really didn't bubble. At least not stick around bubble like the SLSA does.

I love my baths but not necessarily with bubbles or even scent. Milk powders don't really bubble or make a bubble bath. They create foam, not bubbles.
