Im really confused about fragrance amounts

I use between 3 - 5% depending on the FO. It was only recently I noticed through a discussion on here that most people use way more than me so I have increased my usage rate. It was previously only 3%. It really does depend on the FO because, recommended usage rates aside, some are just stronger than others. SO a stronger one I might use at 3% and a weak one I might use at 5%.
But you are right about the 'olfactory overload' because people always claim they can smell the soap when they walk in my house - but I can't smell nuthin'.

Elements is a really great supplier. Aside from all the calculators, they have soap tutorials, bath bomb tutorials, all free.

Recently when I had my house painted, the painters said they had never been in a house that smelled so great. I sold 20 bars of soap to them.

Thanks for your reply - stopped me worrying! Only problem is I had a headache all evening and this morning I can still smell it!

This is a topic that is always moving around in my head. I don't buy any FO with less than 6% usage rate. WSP has some FO's as high as 100% usage rate.
