I'm either confused or intrigued.....

Is this what you are referring to?

That's all correct, basic INCI ingredient list.

It's all just plain old oils, butters and vitamin e - labeled for sale.

intrigued....

I'd never seen this before...I was actually stunned.

And it is really....really expensive.

Cheaper to just get the butters and oils and do it yourself.

I'm not following you.

Are you stunned by the price or the list of ingredients?

All cosmetics offered for sale, either in bulk sold as wholesale or single items, like a lip balm, should be labeled with correct INCI names.

I am not sure which. Does anyone..or has anyone used any of these?

Looking at the ingredients...like on the MP Lotion Bar, they appear natural...but are they?

Any opinions???

Natural, like hypoallergenic, and organic, are kinda sticky wickets with B&B products.

I don't know if they're natural, but I do know that Essential Wholesale is a quality distributor in Portland, OR. They sell good stuff, and they try to sell the safest, environmentally friendly stuff they can find. :)

If that's what they says in it I guess it is. Sounds ok to me. You're right you could make it a lot cheaper yourself but how many times would you have to try to refine the recipe? At what cost?
Same here in the UK with INCI names, it's a big bug to me when I see people put olive oil, coconut etc or saponified oils of.... It's not correct and if they read their cosmetic certifications correctly they would find out how to label properly
Dagmar mentioned almost anything can be called natural, I agree. But what of the organic products? That's a whole new can of worms! You add one organic ingredient and call it such??!! Confusion reigns and not just for us but what about the customers :?:

The FDA, here in the states, has not defined the term natural in relationship to soap/cosmetics.

Burt, of Burt's Bees, set a standard when he said he uses the term all natural when his product is 98% or more natural. Not sayin' it's THE standard, just A standard.

They should probably avoid the words Melt and Pour to prevent confusion. But heck, lots of vendors sell lip balm bases, so why not lotion bar bases too? They are essentially the same thing!

And yea, VERY overpriced IMO - but pricing is a business decision...
