I made my first soap this week, and it seems to have gone well. Which of course made me want to try lotion. I found a super simple recipe for 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup oil, and lecithin. I also added some honey and vitamin e. This turned out nice and creamy but greasy. Good for areas I have excema, and feet, but not all over. So I tried again, with 1/4 cup oils and 1 1/4 cup water, give or take, and it's really thing, like milk. I did use less lecithin that batch. It is lighter. I added more olive oil and a capsule of evening primrose oil when I realized how thin it was, but it stayed thin. I did leave out the vitamin E I had used in the first batch. I"m using lecithin to emulsify, which I know isn't great at that but it is natural and easy to find. I don't want to special order a bunch of stuff right now. Any thoughts?
