Hi all! I soaped with “shave n haircut” FO from B.B. and it accelerated and riced a bit- by time I was texturing my top all the colors blended together and made an ugly colored/ alligator skin- yuck!
So my question is how to pretty up the tops??
Should I carve off the top to reveal a nicer more uniform texture?? Add a layer of colored M&P??
Love input!! I can post a pic of current soap when I get a chance - thanks!!!

The easiest solution would be to just cut off a layer from the top. (Kind of funny considering the name of the FO...)

If the soap is fairly fresh, you could add piped soap frosting to the top as well. To do that, you'd want to score the top and give it a spray of alcohol before adding the piping.

Another option is to just rebatch the whole thing. But that's a lot of work.

You can also try to smooth out the top a little by spritzing with alcohol and rubbing with a butter knife or your finger.

I think if you rough up the tops a little (to give the new soap a surface to bond with) and spray liberally with isopropyl alcohol it should be fine at this point.
