In my shower, I only have one bar of soap for myself and my husband has his bar of commercial soap but I think he's been using my soap as it seems to be disappearing a lot faster than it should. At my bathroom sink, however, the soap dish probably has 8 or nine sample bars (from full bars cut into 4-6 pieces) and a display dish has another 6-8 samples. Samples include anything from a shave bar to hand scrubbing coffee soap to the gentlest of facial soaps and even dental soap.
I love sampling my own soaps! There's even a sample bar of castile soap (100% OO) that I try once per week, just to see how it improves over time. It's at the 4 month mark now and it SO much better than it was even one month ago. The rest of the Castile batch is stored away until I'm happy with the sample.
