How many of you make 100% OO soap?

How many people ask you for that? I made a soap (not 100% OO) that was slimy and I didn't like it at all. I'm just wondering if people would actually ask for this.

Silk and sugar in castile seems to help the slime factor , as does a nice long cure , in my experience . I keep my castile very dry at the sink or tub , on a crocheted soap rug , then a soap drainer , it seems to help, if it is kept as dry as possible between uses .

I just made my second batch ever - HP Castille. Looks great, smells great(a little tangerine/lychee FO) and it totally removes my makeup w/o stripping my face... It's definitely something I'm going to keep making..

I was a little surprised how quickly it came to trace and how little glycerin there was at the top of the mix. Smelled a lot better than the lard soap I made before..

I live in a very hard water area and Castille is YUCK.

Slime, slime slime....glitches out of my hand, every time I try and use it and I don't feel clean after a shower with it.

works for shaving legs though, the slime makes the razor glide well.

One of my friends used to buy Castille, so I gave her my whole remaining batch. She is happy and I no longer have bruises on my feet from dropping it.

Honestly, no way I am going to make more unless someone wants it and asks for it. It was cured for 5 months last time I used it, still the same.

100% coconut works well here though.....

yep! slime slime slime.Doesnt just feel slimey,it has a coating of snail trail like slime..yeeuck! can you tell I'm not a fan??? lol ....yeah,Im a bubbles gal at heart. 8) :)

I made a few batches for the lady that lives next door to me when she was having a baby.
I subbed some water for coconut milk in one batch, and for goat milk in another batch. Both of these were nicer than the basic water/oo combo.
But I like big creamy bubbly bubbles, and I did get a bit of the slime factor, which I don't personally go for.
But my DH, who has psoriasis loved this soap. So each to their own.
Next time I'm going to go 75% OO 25% Co, maybe take 5% of the co and add some castor.

I think I got more bubbles out of my HP than CP batch but maybe it's just poor judgement. Sugar was added both times and it was indeed 95 % OO I guess that's not genuine castile then......*slips away*

I just can't make 100% castille. I have to put a little sugar and castor oil in mine. But I have never had anyone ask for castille.

I did....they wanted something like the Dr. Bronner bars, however. That has various oils in it, including coconut, so it's a bastile at best. I made them an olive, palm, coconut, and castor bar and they were delighted.
