We were using 1.3000:1 Water:Lye ration.
Since we changed to 1.7000:1 it’s been tracing much faster.

Could that be it?

Yes, it sure can. Higher water can cause faster trace in some recipes. However, sometimes higher water slows it in others. Fun stuff, right?
Not to pry, but I'm curious about using 30% coconut oil, especially with a 0% to 1% superfat? Are you finding this recipe drying on the skin?

I love when the answer is YES and NO!! LOL
Thank you so much.

I guess the only way to find out if this is the issue is going back to the old ratio to test.

About the coconut oil on the soap, no it doesn’t make our skin feel dry. I posted this recipe before and someone said that the weather in Miami was probably a factor also.
