This soap was prepared 4 days ago. It has been removed from the mold after 24 hours. The formula is as below.
Olive oil 18,65 oz
Palim oil 11,65 oz
Coconut oil 11,65 oz
Castor oil 1,55 oz
Apricot kernel oil 1,65 oz
Almond sweet oil 1,65 oz
Lye 6,49 oz
Water 17,42 oz
%5
This soap is a little transparent and hard. I want it to be exact opaque white and little more mild. How can I do this. I look forward for your request

in some countries the comma replaces the decimal point in a number.
so she used 18.65 ounces of olive oil, etc.

Hi Hakan - let your soap just sit now and rest. It will become milder over the next 4 - 6 weeks as well as more opaque. It is far too soon to judge it....

Cheers

To get opaque soap, I make sure it stays as cool or cold as possible after the pour. Don't cover it, keep it in a cold place.

I thank you all. The soap that I previously gave you the quantities, are really transparent, and I will wait for couple of weeks as you reccomended. The soaps that I make are olive oil based. The sources of olive oil are very rich in my country and it is possible to find different kinds of olive oil here. I am using extra virgin olive oil, the best quality of it.I tried another formula after I made my last soap to reach my desired goal. The quantities are stated below.

Olive oil 15.873 ounces
Palm oil 7.055 ounces
Coconut oil 7.055 ounces
Water as percent of oil weight: % 30
Super fat/ Discount : %1

I made an opak white and hard soap bar with this combination

Thanks Carebear, i didn't know that about the commas.
I sat there for ages looking at the screen trying to wrap my head around what I was reading. Though in my defense I hadn't had any coffee yet.
