I was making coffee soap (or atleast attempting to) and in tripling the recipe I make the mistake of using an incorrect measurement. I devided some white out to save for the topping and I was supposed to add 3 tsp of cocoa powder. I added 3 tablespoons. Put it in the mold and a short time later I had an oil puddle leaking out of the mold. Oil everywhere. When I unmolded it, there wad a big bubble and oil came pouring out of it. Huge mess. It smelled really good but looked terrible. I cut it and it was really crumbly. Even to touch it still, oil comes out of it. I figured.i would cure it and see what happens. Its been about 5 days. I shaved off some and put the PH drops on it and it turned fire engine red. I shaved bits from other soaps made before and after this one and all remained clear. Will this soap get better? What do I do with it, can it be fixed?
I tested just the whote portion and it tested clear, so im pretty sure the problem started with the inaccurate measurementbut I could be wrong.
