I've been dreaming of making my own soap - devoid of all the undesirable addatives found in the mass produced ones we've been using all our lives.

Finally been researching and studying other's approaches. And so glad I found this board.


Slowly acquiring some ingredients, I look forward excitedly to formulating my own marvels.

I've been reading thru your informative (and fun) threads - trying to soak up all the knowledge I can.

Great to meet all of you - look forward to getting to know you -

THus far = my main challenge is finding a source for lye - everywhere I ask for it - I am viewed with suspicion as I've gleaned it is employed for some
more ignoble products.
