To the forum and soap making!

My name is Amanda and I'm from northern Illinois. I've become very interested in soap making over the last few days and I've already began to experiment with some melt and pour. Someday I hope to learn to make soap from scratch but wasn't comfortable beginning to work with lye while almost 9 months pregnant. I'm a little clumsy right now and have a hard time controlling where my stomach goes sometimes.

I look forward to meeting everyone here and learning a lot from the forums. I've been lurking around here anonymously for a few days already so I thought I might as well pop in and say hello.

MP can be quite fun and you can do more intricate & artistic looking bars with it. Not to mention it doesn't require curing so you have almost immediate satisfaction.
