My name is Dawn and I am new to soap making. I decided to start with M&P as I have a very small galley kitchen with next to no counter space. I have been having more and more issues with my skin as I age. It is getting harder and harder to find personal care products that don't give me a rash and/or make me itch.

Please keep in mind, some folks have a mindset of using only cp or hp soap and not M&P soaps. I love both and if you find a good M&P base they can be gentler than cp soap. While most M&P bases are now lye soap-based not pure synthetic they have additives that actually make them nicer in the good bases. Of course, this is my opinion, and I really love the synthetic (syndet) bases myself. BTW I cannot make a pretty M&P bar if my life depended on it, but my daughter did beautiful work. Enjoy your new craft.
