Hi everyone, My name is Rachel. I'm from Wales (UK) and I've been following this forum on and off for around 2 years now! Was always too shy to join (and too poor to purchase the necessary soaping supplies - lol). So I did my homework instead and read up on every aspect of soap making(and drooled over all your pics!). Well I've bitten the bullet so to speak, joined the forum and ordered the stuff I couldn't buy locally so, batch#1 is on the horizon - as soon as parcels arrive that is! Wish me luck.

Hi Rachel,

Welcome to the forum! :D

I'm sorry you felt too shy to join the forum. I'm so glad you've finally joined and introduced yourself. Good luck with your soap making but I'm sure you'll do fine.

Just don't be shy about asking questions. People here are very friendly and willing to help.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Everyone is so helpful . I know I'm gonna make some friends here!

Hi Rachel ,

Welcome to the forum. I too am new to soap making and new to the forum too. I live in north Lincolnshire and am so excited to be starting this new hobby. Are you starting with melt and pour or cold process?

I would love any tips you may have - are there any books or websites you'd recommend?

love, Clare x

Hi Clare, I'm doing cold process. My supplies are on their way just got a despatch email yesterday so hopefully they may be here on monday! The only advice I can give you is to read as many posts here on the forum as you possibly can.I've read many things all over the net but It's all here in one place on the forum!I don't think theres much worth knowing that hasn't been posted about here at some point just use the search facility to look for things as the questions pop in to your head.Everyone here is very helpful but many of our "newbie" questions have been asked before and a quick search will usually answer them. - Rachel x
