I'm making an herbal bug spray with witch hazel, emulsifier and EO's. Do I need a preservative? I've seen them made with and without.

Haha, well that's what I was thinking. I guess if it was witch hazel, water, and EO's then I might...
 
I agree with the water thing .. if there's no water I don't think you need it?

Just curious, are you making something to keep bugs away or something to go on bug bites? I always use witch hazel on bug bites and it helps so much!
 
usually when you buy witch hazel it has alcohol in it already to preserve it, so you shouldn't have any problems. Plus a lot of the essential oils used to deter bugs are natural bacteria busters.
