I have never had this happen before. And I am completely blaming the fragrance oil. Which did state had slight acceleration. Which I did take into consideration. It did rice on me a bit but I was able to blend it out pretty quickly. Does this mean it riced more in the mold?? I’m so bummed by this and obviously took no care in the cut of this loaf out of pure disappointment. I just love the scent so much. Are these even usable? I want to keep them lol. Just flat out bummed! :(

They aren’t ALL spewing oil, some have little specks of it. But who know what’s going on with the innards lol.

What to do!?

Sorry I wasn’t sure where to post this failure!

Some FOs separate after you think you have it well mixed. Even after you SB the micas in. I have only had a couple, but they are so disappointing. Just be sure you write notes on which FO it was so you don't keep wasting money on it.

It was English bathhouse from wholesale supplies plus :( it’s a floral scent which I’m not typically fond of, but I surprisingly really liked this one and really looked forward to working with it despite the warning! Read the reviews and was confidant I could work with it. I will have to zap test it. Right now we are not on speaking terms as it is still just sitting on my table untouched lol. I have other commitments I have to get to anyway.
Well just a warning for anyone who’s looking to purchase this scent lol. This MAY or may not happen LOL.

As long as there is no zap, they are ok to use. Did you use any additives?
The only extra additive truly was 1x aloe added to cooled lye water. That was all on this one.

Funny though I did try my hand at tussah silk for the first time. But did did rush it since I started the batch at 1am like a fool. Needless to say I had ditch my lye and start over, because those pesky little cuts didn’t dissolve enough. I didn’t add to water before lye like a dork, so I didn’t really give it a chance lol. Maybe next time on the tussah haha.

Yeah, adding silk at the right time really makes a difference.

I will say though, I had some not dissolve all the way and I used it anyways. How bad can wispy partially dissolved silk be?

I would let it sit for a bit. If the pockets aren't too big, they may absorb back into the soap. Of course, you'll be left with the holes but if you like the way it smells, it's still gonna be a good soap.
