Tripled my normal gms recipe the only thing I did different was use canned milk not fresh this time and its not setting up. I have soap wonderfull soap but the bars are not drying, and are very soft like paste on the inside{ there is no oiliness to them at all}. The two items that come to mind are it was on the cold side the day I made it {didnt have the furnace on yet} and I did not add water to the canned milk, just used it as is from the can. I'm going to try and rebatch it today using the oven method will this help??????? or should I make up a little more lye sol and add to it?????? Not sure what I should do . lol its my first failed batch ever. Thanks Diane

I do not know about this soap batch, but I have had quite a few "lesson learned" batches. It is how I learned rebatching.

soap

it has been my experience that soap made in large batches react differently and setup differently than small ones. sometimes you may have to let it sit a day or 2 longer to cut, especially if you have alot of olive oil or soft oils.
