I recently made a batch of carrot ginger tumeric soap that came out with a lovely color. I added ginger essential oil as well it smells wonderful. I then put it in the oven to accelerate the gel process but then take it out because I needed to do some baking. I then put it back overnight to finish the gel process but next morning there’s a discolored rough film over the surface and it’s not soda ash except for one bar Thad completed the gel process. How can I fix this problem?
Help my soap needs fixing.

My advice is to let time (and patience) allow the bars to finish during the full 6-week cure to see how you like them. Then decide whether or not you want to try a rebatch. Here's a link:

Nothing wrong with that soap besides a little cosmetic issue. You could get a soap planer and plane off the top or just use the soap as is, after a couple uses it will be gone.
I agree with Obsidian - just a cosmetic issue. I have a planer, so I would probably use that. If I didn't have one I'd just use/gift it as is.
