I was attempting to make a whipped butter.
I ended up screwing it up, but ended up with a really nice solid balm that worked like magic on my nails/cuticles.
Its mango butter & soy oil.
So, i tried whipping it by heating it and then whipping in it an ice bath. I spooned it into a large container and have been using it on my nails and cuticles, hands, everywhere really. I put it on my scars too to help the healing.
Anyways, my friend took her "fake nails" off and her nails were thin and hideous so i wanted to give her some. I melted it again, and put it in a little flat slip tin. I opened it up the day after and the consistency was the same, a hard balm. It sat for about 4 days & today I go and give it to her and its grainy and mushy...........
Is this because of the tin?
Or is it because of the reheating?
Or maybe because I reheated and Didn't re-whip?
I'd love to repeat the recipe, but I don't want to end up with this grainy mush....
