So, I have my grated soap and water in a 2QT glass measuring cup in a pot of low boiling water. (My homemade double boiler) It has been about 25mins and have already added about 6 more oz of water. I started with 12 oz. It is still not translucent! What to Do!!!????

Sometimes it can take about an hour or more depending on your process. I use the oven method and it takes about an hour and half. Also becareful how much water you add because if you add too much when your soap dries it will form craters on top. Ask me how I know!
