Hello! I just recently became interested in making soap as i need a hobby lol. Had a hard time finding lye locally (nobody carries it) but thank god for the internet! Hoping to jump in head first when all my supplies arrive. Glad there are people on here that i can learn from and hope to make a few friends too! Anyways glad to be here! =)

I commend you for your enthusiasm. I don't know how much you've read ahead on the process of soapmaking to date, but as you are waiting for your supplies to arrive and before jumping in head first, I invite you to pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable and take time to peruse through our CP forum. We have many talented soapers here who have been generous to share their soaping wisdom and tips (make sure to bring a notebook and take plenty notes). And also make sure to read through all the threads on lye safety as well (very important). As fun (and as addicting) as making lye-based soap can be, she can be quite a cruel mistress if not thoroughly prepared.
