I have always loved the smell of beautiful soap and bath bombs... and always dreamed of having loads scattered all over my home lol, just so i can smell it everywere i go, last week i decided to look into making soap, so im looking for some support and the chance to make some good friends whilst on my path of investigating the world of soap lol... but im looking for some easy step by step instructions of what i need to buy for my new venture, and all about the ingrediants needed, and how to put it all together, to make the most lovely soap.... im also wondering what lye is? and how is it used, does it need to be diluted? and is it expensive? im so looking forward to getting to know you, and learning all i can about how to make soap, and i will be so greatful for any help and support along the way.... lots of love and light to all, xxx Mands x

In addition to searching the forum, you should take Alicia Grosso's "The Everything Soapmaking" book out from your library or better yet buy it. It's a great resource and has basic recipes, info you need to know about lye, fragrance, color and much more.
