Hi everyone! I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. My name is Kirstin and I have recently started soaping again after a long hiatus. I actually started soaping around 2001 and was initially inspired by a string of college chemistry classes and nutty chem. Professors that completely captivated me (coincidently in Bellingham, Wa, home of Bramble Berry 
. Soaping allowed me to appease both the geeky scientific side and artistic side of myself. After I completed my undergraduate degree in 2003 I moved to Belgium and then to Germany for work, and, unfortunately, it just wasn’t as feasible for me to soap, so I took a loooooong break until I moved back to the states in 2009. Oh how I have missed pretending to be a “mad soapatist”, meticulously measuring and mixing away into the night, LOL! I love to experiment and come up with new and exciting recipes and I’m very excited to share knowledge and techniques with everyone!
