I have a large family. I have 7 children 2 of which have issues with many chemicals that are in soaps body washes and shampoos as well as laundry detergents. I have been making my own laundry soap for four years using (washing soda, baking soda, borox, and fels naptha soap bar ). I have also cloth diapered due to chemicals causing children issues and severe rashes.

I have been reading books and getting as much information as I can before I start making anything.

I am getting my materials that I need.
Scale, stick blender, books,

Need to get
Stock pots measuring items bowls and mixing items and a decent lye water pitcher.

Hubby is going to make the molds i want at the moment we are trying to figure out how to make removable dividers for a slab.

I know where I want to start with my soap making which is a set of shampoo bars Tangerine Spearmint solid shampoo bar.
and I am looking for a good recipe for a body soap that goes well with ginger and lime E.O. and a lime color any help there would be great. I really would like it to smell like ginger - lime.

Welcome to the forum. If you know what qualities you want in a soap, then Soapcalc should help you. If your family has allergy issues, a good old fashioned lard bar with a little Castor oil and palm kernel oil or a Castile soap may be what you are looking for. Castile soap takes a long time to cure, but it is a very mild soap. I always use coconut oil in my soap, but some people have problems with soap made with coconut oil.

Coconut oil is fine with my family i used that un the diaper rash cream along with mango butter.
