Hello Everyone,

Two of my friends and I recently took a private lesson in cold-process soap making from a highly experienced woman in southern Virginia, and now we are beginning to experiment together. We're focused on olive oil-based soaps with various essential oils. So far, so good! We've moved past the initial lye-fear (that almost kept us from starting in the first place) to lye respect and soap making addiction!

I'm glad to find this forum! I'm excited about sharing information and getting to know you.

Who do you know in Southern VA? I have a friend near Chesterfield (south of Richmond) that has her own farm and goats.. Wild Heaven Farms?
