I have been making soap since 2002. I grew up loving my Mamaw's homemade lye soap and when she got dementia I wanted to carry on the tradition. Since then, I've developed many soaps, lotions, lip balms, etc..
I've always wanted to formulate a shampoo and conditioner bar. The problem I've had with it is that I've never been able to find a 100% natural catatonic emulsifying wax for my conditioner bar, which I finally found Inolex and they do make such an animal! Yay! I was researching that when I found this forum. I think it's awesome! Everyone needs to know how to make soap!
I believe we're never too advanced to learn new things and should always be teachable. I also believe it is a wonderful thing to be able to leave that knowledge behind.
Godspeed to all of you wonderful soapers!
