Hi all,

My name is Teri and I just made my first batch of soap and can't wait to pop it out if the molds. I don't know how I'm going to wait 6 weeks for it to cure.....

For years I've studied aromatherapy and have made various bath products. My favorite being a simple scrub made from Dead Sea salt and a carrier oil and some EO.

I recently took a soap making class in NYC and finally got the courage to do it yesterday....so far (fingers crossed) it looks good!

I used:
Olive oil 47%
Coconut oil 27%
Cocoa butter 15%
Avocado oil 11%
Lavender and Peppermint EO

I've been stalking this site and took much of your advice, so thank you!! You made it a little less intimidating!!

Looking forward to chatting with you and hopefully adding my two scents! :D

Hi Teri,

Welcome I'm new myself to the whole soap making adventure. Would you mind sharing the class your attending in NY. I from the city and have been looking for a class, searching online has helped me a great deal however nothing like actual people.

Thanks
Kaye

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first batch! :D

The recipe looks like it will produce a nice creamy lather. Please let us know what you think of it when it's cured.
