Just wondering if anyone here has had an open house to showcase your products? I'm thinking of hosting one every now and then to help bring in sales during the slower months (like January-March can be).

No clue how to go about putting one of these on. I've always declined going to open houses. Really wishing I hadn't now..lol.

Save the insurance lecture...lol. I'm fully covered. Just looking for no no's and interesting ideas.

Thanks!

I don't sell, but I have been to a lot of open houses for various home sale products. I also love to entertain.. If you're on Facebook you could make an "event" and invite anyone you know who would be interested.. Post pictures of your products with the date and time of your open house. If you have email addresses of your local customers, you could contact them that way. Ask everyone to bring a friend and offer a small gift to all who attend. Make it sound like a get-together as well as an opportunity to buy soap and body products (or whatever you sell :). Remind people of whom they could gift your products to ..schoolteachers, friends, family.. And also remind them of upcoming holidays that they may need gifts for.. Christmas, valentines day, Mother's Day. Keep it very friendly and have, coffee, tea and light snacks and also mention the snacks in the invite. People love to come anywhere there's food ;)

Thanks! Good point about the flyers and creepers! Although I do have 2 giant dogs that could take care of any creepers in a hurry...lol.
