I have very thick hair and was having trouble getting enough shampoo into my hair down to my scalp using a bar. I melted part of my shampoo bar in about 1 cup of water in a small crockpot. I put it in an old liquid dish detergent bottle with about 10 drop of jojoba oil. That makes about a week's worth of a "liquid" shampoo. I shake up the bottle to mix the oil and shampoo and squirt directly onto my scalp. It has been a game changer for me. I make a small enough amount that it doesn't go bad. I love it so much, I thought I would share.

I make shampoo bars as well, but they are syndet - not lye soap. I know some folks use their syndet bar recipe to dilute into liquid shampoo. That's why I was curious. :)
